GENERAL INFORMATION
- The Show Office will be open Friday, April 12 from approximately 5-7PM and at 7:30AM Saturday & Sunday morning. The Show will start at 9 AM
- The arena will be closed down at 8 AM for a drag.
- Show will be held in the Wilson Arena at the Texas Tech Equestrian Center, 5712 CR 1500, Lubbock, TX 79407. The arena will be open for schooling Friday night from 5PM to midnight, and again at 6:30 to 8:00 AM on Saturday morning. Trail will be set on Friday afternoon. After the conclusion of the Western classes on Saturday, the jump course will be set and open for schooling until midnight, and again at 6:30 to 8:00 AM on Sunday morning.
- Stalls are available on the property, at least one bag of shavings must be purchased with every stall. Stalls and shavings may be reserved at : TEXAS TECH EQUESTRIAN CENTER ONLINE STORE
- The AQHA Rulebook will serve as guidelines for the show. Per AQHA safety guidelines, ALL Over Fence riders and ALL Youth English exhibitors must wear an ASTM-SEI approved helmet. Management may refuse entry into the ring by anyone not complying.
All Western Classes will be shown on Saturday, April 13th, and all English classes will be shown on Sunday, April 14
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
- Entry Forms can be found here as well as on the Texas Tech Equestrian Team Facebook Page.
- Pre-entries are strongly encouraged and receive a $5 discount off of the office fee if received by April 10 ,2024. Pre-entries can be emailed to [email protected]
- Day of show entries must be made at the Office. Class adds need to be made at least 2 classes out in the Show Office. Exhibitors (or their representatives) are responsible for notifying both the Announcer and Gate Attendant of class additions after addition is made at office.
- Please fill entry forms out completely. Complete entries include copy of current Coggins.Please fill out a separate form for each horse/rider combo as the back number is assigned based on the horse/rider combo and not just the horse.

ENTRY FEES
$12.00 per Single Class
$15.00 Office Fee ($10 for pre-entries received by April 10, 2024)
JACKPOT CLASSES
For the jackpot classes, the $12 class entry fee is paid in the office. Then for the jackpot, each entry brings $5 in cash to the Gate Keeper prior to entering into the arena for the class. After placings, the winner will receive the entire jackpot from the Gate Keeper.
SHOW AWARDS
-Ribbons will be given for 1st through 6th place
-High Point Award categories:
- Youth Western Performance
- Non Pro Western Performance
- Open Western Performance
- Youth Ranch Performance
- Non Pro Ranch Performance
- Open Ranch Performance
- Youth English Performance
- Non Pro English Performance
- Open English Performance
- To qualify for the All Around, exhibitors must show in at least 1 Halter/Showmanship Class, 1 Western/Ranch Class, and 1 English Fences/English Flat Class
BUCKLE SERIES
Must show same rider/horse combo at all three open show series:
- Bootastic Autumn Open (October 2023)
- Wooly Winter Open (January 2024)
- Spring SpecTECHular Open (April 2024)
Must compete in 3 different categories of classes including one In Hand Class
Categories are:
- In Hand
- Western Performance
- Ranch Performance
- Fences
Points are accumulated across all three shows, like an All Around Award
Buckles will be awarded in the following divisions:
- Walk Trot Youth
- Walk Trot Non Pro
- Youth
- Non Pro
- Open
DIVISIONS
Youth: RIDERS 18 & Under (as of January 1, 2024)
Non-Pro: A RIDER who is over 18 (as of January 1, 2024) & who has not received payment directly or indirectly for showing, training, giving lessons, clinics or assists in the training of horse or rider for money.
Open: Open to any rider or trainer.
